Goin’ Bananas

This simple yet delicious breakfast item is a winner to start off a sweet morning!

One of my least favorite fruits are indeed bananas… I just can’t stand the texture and smell of them. I needed to find a way to make them tasty enough to sneak them into my body, which is when I thought of this recipe. I was hoping if I paired something I don’t like with something I love, peanut butter, it would magically balance out, and that’s exactly what it did!

Bananas are rich in potassium and fiber, a well known fact. They can help prevent numerous amount of diseases such as asthma, cancer, cardiovascular disease, and diabetes. Bananas also help in lowering blood pressure.

One of my favorite things in the entire world, peanut butter!! Full of protein and is tasty with any type of snack. If you aren’t a fan of peanut butter or are looking for another option, almond butter is a delicious alternative as well!

Try this tasty breakfast out:

• toast the bread of your choice (I like to use whole-grain bread)

•spread about a tablespoon of peanut butter or almond butter on the toast

• slice up a banana and place over the butter spread

•drizzle a little bit of honey over the bananas and there you go!
